Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo aka D'banj
Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known professionally as D’banj, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He was born on June 9, 1980, in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
D’banj gained widespread recognition in 2005 with the release of his debut album, No Long Thing, featuring the hit single “Tongolo.” He co-founded the label Mo’ Hits Records with Don Jazzy, and together, they helped shape the modern Afrobeats sound that influenced a new wave of African pop music.
His energetic stage presence and fusion of Afrobeats, pop, and contemporary rhythms earned him international acclaim, especially with the global success of “Oliver Twist” (2012). Over the years, D’banj has diversified into entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and advocacy, becoming one of the most recognized figures in African entertainment.
