Regina Daniel’s husband, Ned Nwoko wins Delta North Senatorial seat defeat APC and LP candidates
Mr. Chinedu Nwoko, commonly known as Ned Nwoko, the husband of well-known Nollywood actress Regina Daniel, was named the winner of the Delta North Senatorial District seat on Monday.
This announcement was published by The Cable (TheCable.ng), Legit News (legit.ng) and Pulse Nigeria amongst other media platforms. .
Nwoko received 92,514 votes overall, beating over Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, the incumbent, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 36,816 votes, and Mr. Kennedy Kanma of the Labour Party (LP), who received 86,121 votes.

In the INEC collation center in Asaba’s Oshimili South Local Government Area, the results were announced by the returning officer, Dr. Josephine Anene-Okeakwa.
The PDP candidate for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Mr. Ndudi Elumelu, who was the minority leader in the House of Representatives, lost to Mr. Ngozi Okolie of the Labour Party.
In an interview, Mr. Pascal Adigwe, Director-General of the Ned Nwoko Campaign Council, praised INEC for the smooth and peaceful election and praised the electioneering process.
He acknowledged that the race was hotly contested, but he thanked God that Nwoko ended up winning.
