BREAKING NEWS: I Am Not Sure Court Will Give Labour Party Justice Because, We Can Be Treated Like Machina – Kenneth
In an interview that aired earlier today on Arise Television, Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesman for the Labour Party, accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of trying to rig the 2016 presidential election. Mr. Okonkwo is most concerned about the Labour Party not receiving fair treatment in court.
If the matter proceeded to court, he said, his party may end up like Bashir Machina, who stood for the Yobe North Constituency under the APC but lost to Senate President Bukola Saraki.
I’ll quote him on this one: “Because the Labour Party could be treated even harder than Bashir Machina was a few weeks ago, I have my doubts that justice will be done. After losing the presidential election to Machina, Lawan ran for the Senate seat that his party had endorsed him for. Lawan was cited even though Machina was inclined to believe his story. To Machina’s dismay, the verdict did not accurately represent the severity of the charges against her.”
