Asake and Tiakola Collaborate on New Single “Badman Gangsta”
Nigerian artist Asake has teamed up with French-Congolese singer Tiakola for a new single titled “Badman Gangsta”, released in July 2025. The track is produced by Nigerian hitmaker P. Priime, known for his work on several major Afrobeats and pop fusion records.
Badman Gangsta blends elements of Afrobeats with French urban pop, creating a cross-cultural sound that reflects the strengths of both artists. Asake delivers his distinctive Yoruba-inflected vocal style, often associated with the “street-hop” subgenre, while Tiakola brings a melodic touch with verses in French, adding an international dimension to the track.
The production, led by P. Priime, features a bass-heavy beat with layered synths and cinematic elements. The result is a dark, rhythmic soundscape designed to balance lyrical delivery with dancefloor appeal.
The collaboration highlights the ongoing global influence of Afrobeats and the genre’s ability to merge with other styles, particularly Francophone music. With both artists bringing unique energy and voice, Badman Gangsta serves as a cross-border artistic effort that reflects the growing interconnectedness of contemporary African and European music scenes.
The single is now available for streaming on platforms.
