Veteran Actress Peju Ogunmola Loses Only Son

Nollywood has been thrown into mourning following the death of Ayomikun Oluwanisola, the only son of veteran actress Peju Ogunmola.

The news of his passing emerged on Tuesday, drawing tributes from colleagues and fans across the industry.

Actress Biola Adebayo described the loss as “devastating and heartbreaking,” praying for God’s comfort for Ogunmola and her family. Actor Odunlade Adekola also wrote: “This is a big loss. God will console you ma and the whole family. E le yi po oo.”

Other Nollywood stars, including Itele D Icon, Adedimeji Lateef, and Muyiwa Ademola, expressed shock and offered prayers for divine strength for the bereaved mother.

Ogunmola, who is married to veteran actor Sunday Omobolanle (popularly known as Papi Luwe/Aluwe), has been a prominent figure in Yoruba cinema for decades.

Ayomikun’s death comes just weeks before what would have been his birthday on October 12.
