Bimbo Akintola Explains Why She Remains Single, Childless at 52

Veteran Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has opened up about her single status and decision not to have children at the age of 52, attributing it to life’s unforeseen circumstances rather than choice.

In an interview with Pulse Nigeria, the Edo and Oyo State native described marriage as a sacred union that should take place in the house of God, surrounded by loved ones. She recalled once meeting a man she believed was her life partner, but he passed away, and she has since not found anyone who meets her standards for honesty and lifelong commitment.

Akintola stressed that she values truthfulness and would only marry if certain of spending her life with the person. She added that she remains open to marriage at any age, even 78, if the right partner comes along, noting that companionship becomes more important later in life to avoid loneliness.
