Kristopher Bows Out as Nigerian Idol Top 5 Light Up the Stage
It was an emotional and electrifying night on Nigerian Idol Season 10 as the Top 5 were revealed and fan-favorite Kristopher exited the competition in a dramatic elimination round.
The evening kicked off with a high-energy group performance of Ric Hassani’s “Moving Train (Isokuso)”, setting the stage for what would become one of the season’s most thrilling episodes.
Host IK Osakioduwa welcomed judges Ric Hassani, Iyanya, and Omawumi, joined by special guest judge Dr. Kaffy, who brought fresh insight and high performance standards to the panel.
After performances from all six contestants, the tension rose as Mikki, Lawrence, Purp, and Raymu were declared safe, leaving Kristopher and Brammy in the bottom two. Ultimately, Kristopher’s journey came to an end. In his farewell, he said:
“I’m grateful for the whole experience. I stayed true to my artistry throughout, and it doesn’t end here for me.”
Standout Top 5 Performances:
- Mikki – “Spirit” (Beyoncé)
Delivered with power and emotion, Mikki’s performance was a spiritual highlight. Ric Hassani said, “This song is called ‘Spirit,’ and we all felt your spirit. That was fantastic.” - Raymu – “Titanium” (Sia)
Displaying vocal strength and emotional depth, Raymu’s delivery left a lasting impression and was one of his best performances so far. - Lawrence – “Black or White” (Michael Jackson)
Full of energy and charisma, Lawrence channeled MJ’s spirit, earning praise for his stage command and versatility. - Purp – “Respect” (Aretha Franklin)
With stunning vocals and strong presence, Purp delivered a theatrical and technically flawless tribute. Kaffy noted, “I’m proud of you, Purp.” - Brammy – “Yeah 3x” (Chris Brown)
A powerhouse of energy, Brammy wowed with seamless choreography, vocal consistency, and crowd-pleasing performance. The judges gave him a standing ovation.
Kristopher returned to the stage for a final performance of Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been”, earning cheers and warm praise for his growth and authenticity.
