Taiwo: “I Couldn’t Believe My Son Is Dead, We Left Home Together, Now I’m Carrying His Body” – Heartbroken Father

The father of 15-year-old Taiwo, a schoolboy tragically killed by a stray bullet, has expressed his deep grief and disbelief following the sudden death of his son. According to reports by VANGUARD, the teenager was hit by a stray bullet fired by a police officer whose identity has not been disclosed.
The incident, which occurred in Oyo State, has sparked a wave of outrage on social media. The young boy was reportedly not the target of the bullet. Police officers, said to be pursuing a suspected internet fraudster, fired shots during the chase, but one bullet tragically struck Taiwo, cutting his life short.
In a heartbreaking account shared with VANGUARD, Taiwo’s father recounted the painful moment. He explained that they had both left home earlier that day, full of hope that his son would do well in his exams. Sadly, that hope turned to sorrow.
“I couldn’t believe that my son is dead. We left home together, full of life and assurance that he would excel in his exams.
“Now, I am carrying his lifeless body around town. I was informed that the officer was chasing a driver who allegedly evaded arrest. But that should not justify my son’s death,” he said.
The grieving father’s words capture the deep anguish of a parent whose day began with optimism and ended in unimaginable tragedy.
