Osun National Assembly Caucus Urges Tinubu to Restore Law and Order

The Osun State caucus in the National Assembly has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take swift action to restore law and order in Osun State. They urged the President to direct the National Security Adviser and the Inspector General of Police to intervene, citing concerns over political thugs disrupting the state’s peace.
Leading the call, Bamidele Salam, head of the Osun caucus in the House of Representatives, cautioned against any attempts by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to forcibly take over local government councils. He argued that the recent Court of Appeal ruling did not directly favor the APC, despite the party’s claims.
Salam alleged that political thugs backed by the APC and aided by security agents have been causing unrest in several local government areas, threatening the state’s stability. He urged immediate action to prevent further disruption and ensure democratic processes are maintained in Osun State.
