Goodluck Jonathan Pays Condolence Visit to Former VP Namadi Sambo Over Brother’s Passing
Former Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has expressed his condolences following a visit to his former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, in Abuja. Jonathan’s visit was to mourn the loss of Sambo’s elder brother, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, who passed away at the age of 82.
In a statement shared on his verified Facebook page, Jonathan described the late Suleiman Sambo as a respected community leader and peace advocate whose absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and community.
“Last night in Abuja, I paid a condolence visit to my former Vice President and brother, His Excellency Arch. Namadi Sambo, over the passing of his elder brother, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo,” Jonathan wrote. “He was a well-respected community leader and peace builder. May God grant his soul eternal rest.”
The post has since drawn numerous reactions from Jonathan’s followers, who joined him in mourning the loss and extending prayers for the deceased’s family.
