“Gombe Police Report: Man Kidnaps, Murders Nephew, and Disposes of Body in Unfinished Building”
The Gombe State Police Command has arrested a 21-year-old man named Mubarak Haladu, who is accused of abducting and murdering his seven-year-old nephew, Haruna Bello. According to the police spokesperson, Haladu kidnapped his nephew, killed him, and concealed his decomposing body in an unfinished building located in Dadin Kowa village.
Haruna’s father, Bello Haladu, received a distressing phone call from Mubarak, who demanded a ransom for his son’s release. In a statement to the police, Bello described the moment he received the call: “Mubarak demanded N1.5 million to release my son. I was heartbroken.
“Further inquiries by the Anti-Kidnapping unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department uncovered Mubarak’s involvement in additional criminal activities, such as burglary and theft. ASP Abdullahi condemned the horrific act, assuring the community that “justice will be pursued.
Mubarak Haladu is set to face legal action for his offenses.The police reported that Mubarak’s arrest came as a result of thorough investigative work. ASP Abdullahi emphasized the seriousness of the crime, stating, “We condemn this atrocious act and promise the public that justice will be served.”
