Bournemouth took advantage of their numerical superiority in the 70th minute when Ryan Christie, a substitute, scored from a clever corner routine.Arsenal faced further problems when a careless back-pass led to David Raya bringing down Evanilson in the penalty area after Jakub Kiwior misplayed the ball back to him.
Another substitute, Justin Kluivert, successfully converted the penalty, sending Raya the wrong way to extend Bournemouth’s lead.As a result, Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end, preventing them from claiming the top spot in the league, while they remain in third place.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth climbed to 10th place after securing their first victory over Arsenal since January 2018, breaking a nine-match winless streak against the north London club.
