The current Minister of Aviation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hadi Abubakar Sirika has expressed satisfaction over the performance of Labour party and Peter Obi in the presidential election so far. .

It can be recalled that Peter Obi sprung surprises after he defeated Bola Tinubu and Atiku to emerge as the winner of Lagos State in the presidential election.

Reacting to Obi’s impressive performance, Hadi Sirika said that there are lots of huge ballot boxes on Twitter and that is the reason why Peter Obi was able to go far in the election. He asserted that social media has its own impact in influencing public opinion and it complements good works to bring about victory.

According to him:

“I think it is wrong to say that there are no ballot boxes on Twitter. There are indeed, huge ones for that matter. If there isn’t any, Obi wouldn’t come this far. Social media is the greatest influencer of opinions after good works. Good works plus social media means victory”.

Results officially stated by INEC shows that Peter Obi won Lagos, Enugu, Edo, Plateau, Nasarawa, Abia and he is currently on the lead in some other states. This is contrary to the expectation of the opposition parties.
