Fuel Subsidy: Reactions Trail As Keyamo’s Tweet After Tinubu’s Statement

The new president of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, made a statement as regards the Fuel Subsidy and the statement has been generating lots of reactions.
He said during his speech that Subsidy is gone. According to report, The statement has led to some filling stations shutting down their stations while some have been selling their fuel at higher prices.
Festus Keyamo, former minister of state for labor and employment and a member of the APC presidential campaign council has reacted to the matter. Keyamo said that it is not true that the new government has decided to remove subsidy. Festus Keyamo said that any advocate of subsidy should convince Nigerians why President Tinubu should start on a note of illegality by promising to reintroduce something which the law has taken away. During the campaign, there is no doubt that Keyamo was one of those who championed Tinubu’s movement.
