Ezeh Chisom Faith, professionally known as Rexxie, is a Nigerian record producer, songwriter, and sound engineer born on May 12, 1989, in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is best known for pioneering and popularizing the modern Zanku (Street-Hop) sound that reshaped Nigerian pop music in the late 2010s.
Rexxie rose to prominence after producing Legbegbe by Mr Real, but his major breakthrough came in 2019 with Soapy and Am I a Yahoo Boy by Naira Marley. These records defined the Zanku movement and established Rexxie as one of the most influential producers in Nigeriaβs street-pop evolution.
He has worked with top Nigerian artists including Naira Marley, Zlatan, Davido, Burna Boy, Mohbad, Joeboy, and Olamide. His production style blends Afrobeats, street-hop, and electronic elements, often driven by heavy percussion and catchy, dance-ready rhythms.
In 2021, Rexxie released his debut album Afro Streets, featuring collaborations with several leading artists and showcasing his versatility beyond street anthems. He followed up with Big Time in 2023, further cementing his status as a hit-making producer-artist.
Rexxie is widely regarded as a cultural force in Nigerian music, credited with amplifying street culture and bringing underground sounds into the mainstream.
