Oluwajuwonlo James Iledare, professionally known as Jaywon, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer born on June 6, 1986, in Kogi State, Nigeria. He hails from Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State and is best known for his uplifting lyrics and melodious blend of Afropop and inspirational music.
Jaywon rose to prominence after signing with Kennis Music, one of Nigeriaβs most influential record labels at the time. He gained nationwide recognition with the hit single This Year (OdΓΊn YΓ¬), which became an anthem of hope and celebration across Nigeria and beyond.
In 2010, he released his debut album Meet Jaywon, featuring popular tracks such as My File, Good Time, and This Year. He later followed up with This Year (2013) and Oba Orin (2019), showcasing his growth as an artist and his ability to stay relevant across different eras of Nigerian pop music.
