Updated EPL Standings After Man U Lost 2-1 And Chelsea Won 2-1 Today
Chelsea hosted Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge today in a thrilling Premier League showdown. The Blues were eager to return to winning form and secure three critical points against the visiting Magpies.
Chelsea took an early lead in the 18th minute when Nicolas Jackson finished a close-range shot to put them ahead 1-0. Newcastle responded in the 32nd minute with a goal from Alexander Isak, who also scored from close range, leveling the game at 1-1. The teams went into halftime tied.
Just after the break, Chelsea regained their lead in the 47th minute with a low, well-placed shot from Cole Palmer, making it 2-1. Chelsea held onto this advantage for the remainder of the match, finishing with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Newcastle.
