Premier League Table Update After Latest Matches
Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, creating a 13-point gap as they tightened their grip on the Premier League title race.
Everton secured a 1-1 draw against Brentford, with David Moyes’ side showing resilience after going behind. The result places Everton in 15th, while Brentford remains in 11th.
At Old Trafford, Manchester United edged Ipswich Town in a dramatic 2-1 win. Despite being reduced to ten men after Patrick Dogu’s red card in the 42nd minute, Ipswich quickly equalized. However, a Harry Maguire header from a Bruno Fernandes corner secured all three points for United, lifting them to 14th, while Ipswich stays in 18th.
Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by Nottingham Forest despite dominating possession. The result leaves Arsenal in third place, while Forest remains second.
Meanwhile, Manchester City climbed into the top four with a 1-0 win over Tottenham, thanks to an early Erling Haaland goal in the 12th minute. Spurs, however, continue to struggle, sitting in 13th place.
