Marcus Rashford sends a message to his critics
Manchester United’s forward player, Marcus Rashford has been on the wrong side of most supporters of the club following his recent form this season.
The England International has sent a message to everyone who has doubted his abilities or his allegiance to the club. Rashford was speaking in an exclusive interview with the Players Tribune. According to him, there are some things that are being said about him in the media that he can not accept, so he will have to speak up.
He said,
“Listen, I am not a perfect person. When I make a mistake, I’ll be the first one to put my hand up and say that I need to do better. But if you ever question my commitment to Manchester United, that’s when I have to speak up. I can’t accept some things in the media. I grew up here at Man United. I have played for this club since I was a boy. My family turned down life-changing money when I was a kid so I could wear this badge.”
He also spoke about the team’s current form in the league and what everyone including supporters of opposition teams thinks about them. According to him, the club will get back to the form that they are used to in no distant time.
“I promise you, the world has not seen the best of this United squad and these players. We want to be back playing in the Champions League. We will be back where we belong. If you back me, good. If you doubt me, even better.”
Manchester United supporters will hope that the player gets back to the form that he was known for last season. He has scored less than 10 goals this season compared to the 30 goals he scored across all competitions last season.
