EPL table after Saturday results: Isak scores 1st hat trick, Villa overtakes Man City, Arsenal Wins

Aston Villa 2-1 Man City: Manchester City’s predicament worsened after they lost badly against Aston Villa once more. Phil Foden’s late response for the visitors was hardly much comfort after goals from Morgan Rogers and Jhon Duran.
Brentford 0-2 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest ended Brentford’s unbeaten home record with a determined performance, securing a crucial win to stay in the hunt for a European spot. Goals from Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga, combined with solid defending, earned Forest their third straight victory.
Ipswich 0-4 Newcastle United

Newcastle United dismantled Ipswich Town, as Alexander Isak’s first Premier League hat trick powered a dominant 4-0 victory. Newcastle wasted no time, scoring within 26 seconds of Ipswich’s kick-off. The hosts remain winless at home in the league this season.

West Ham 1-1 Brighton
At the London Stadium, West Ham fought back to claim a hard-earned draw against Brighton. Mohammed Kudus grabbed his third Premier League goal of the season, canceling out Mats Wieffer’s opener, his first for Brighton—shortly after the break.
Crystal Palace 1-5 Arsenal

At Selhurst Park, Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 5–1 with two goals from Gabriel Jesus, bringing them within three points of the Premier League leaders. It was the fifth goal the Brazil striker has scored against the Eagles in a week after his hat-trick in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal.

Arsenal have now scored 5+ goals in six different away games in all competitions in 2024, the most ever by an English top-flight club in a single calendar year.

Premier League table after these results
