Reactions As 44-year-old Man Stabs His 30-year-old Girlfriend To Death Over Misunderstanding in Kogi
A man simply identified as Siyaka Mohammed has reportedly stabbed his girlfriend, Aisha Aminu, to death over a misunderstanding. The 30-year-old deceased, who is a physically challenged woman, was tragically murdered by her boyfriend on Wednesday in Obehira Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The individual in question, aged 44, was reportedly involved in a potential act of stabbing his girlfriend multiple times during the early hours of Wednesday. Following the offense, the suspect swiftly departed from the scene.
According to an eyewitness, the alleged perpetrator had visited the deceased’s shop shortly before 6 am. He forcefully pulled her from the inner chamber and proceeded to repeatedly stab her, ultimately resulting in her unfortunate demise due to the severity of her wounds.
The individual known as Siyaka, originally from Obehira in the Okene Local Government Area of Kogi state, has since fled the town and is currently being sought by authorities, who have declared him as a wanted person.
Afterward, the lifeless body of Aisha was taken and entrusted to the mortuary of Okengwe General Hospital.
Reports suggested that the deceased and her boyfriend had an ongoing conflict, which had been previously brought to the attention of both the Vigilante Group of Nigeria and the community leader. However, regrettably, the matter had not been effectively resolved, leading to this tragic outcome.
