Primate Ayodele: Voting For Obi Will Stagnate Nigeria, Atiku Will Lead The Country To Ruin

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has voiced his concerns over the political realignments currently taking shape in Nigeria. Speaking through a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the cleric dismissed the growing alliance involving key figures like Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Aminu Tambuwal, declaring it destined for failure.

According to Ayodele, none of these political heavyweights are equipped to move the country forward. He warned that supporting any of them would only worsen Nigeria’s problems. “In fact, voting for Obi will make Nigeria to be stagnant, Atiku will take Nigeria to mortuary, and when you give it to El-Rufai, Nigeria will just be buried,” he declared.

He argued that despite the growing dissatisfaction in the country, it would be more beneficial for President Bola Tinubu to remain in office, asserting that Tinubu is better positioned to manage the current challenges facing Nigeria.

Ayodele also took a swipe at the internal cohesion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming that many of its governors are already compromised and are likely to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) before the 2027 general elections. He pointed out that states like Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Oyo, Osun, and Anambra are already being negotiated in favor of the APC.

According to him, the PDP Governors’ Forum is now ineffective, as most of the party’s governors have quietly shifted their support toward the ruling APC—an alignment he believes will further diminish the PDP’s chances in future elections.

In a warning to President Tinubu, Ayodele urged him not to underestimate the opposition. He revealed that Tinubu’s path to a second term could be jeopardized if three specific influential figures join the opposition coalition. He stressed that the president must take decisive steps before the next election to secure victory, including ensuring those individuals are kept from forming alliances against him.
