Mother and daughter killed by kidnappers laid to rest in Benue State

Benue woman, Mrs. Maria Agbo, who was killed by kidnappers alongside her daughter in Abuja, has been laid to rest.
She was buried on Thursday, February 8, 2024, in Owukpa, Benue State.
LIB reported that Maria had traveled to Abuja to take care of her daughter, Christiana, who had just given birth after ten years of childlessness.
Tragedy struck when kidnappers stormed their home near the Mopol Barracks, in the Dei-Dei area of FCT and abducted Maria, her daughter and the newborn baby.
The kidnappers demanded N90m ransom from the family as a condition to release the victims. After negotiation, they settled for N10 million
However, days later, the family received the devastating news that Christiana and her mother had been killed, and the newborn baby abandoned in a hospital.
