Former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido Criticizes President Tinubu

Former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking a two-week vacation abroad despite Nigeria’s ongoing economic and security issues.
In a statement titled “DEAF, DUMB, CONFOUNDED” on his Facebook page, Lamido accused Tinubu of intentionally worsening the hardship faced by Nigerians.
He questioned whether the president could empathize with the struggles of the people while enjoying his time in Europe.
Lamido also likened Tinubu’s actions to the biblical Pharaoh, suggesting that Tinubu was ignoring the suffering of the populace.
Meanwhile, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, defended the vacation, calling it a working retreat aimed at reflecting on the administration’s economic reforms, and assured that the president would return after the two-week break.
