Delta Police PRO Responds After Local Government Chairman Deploys Bulldozer to Clear Kidnappers’ Hideout
Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, reacted on Sunday night to a post by the Ughelli North Local Government. The post showed council chairman Olorogun Jaro Egbo overseeing the clearing of an area described as a kidnappers’ hideout.
The post featured images of a bulldozer clearing a large section of forest along Uvwiamuge-Agbarho Road, which has reportedly been a hotspot for kidnapping activity. Chairman Egbo, accompanied by other officials, supervised the clearing as part of an ongoing anti-crime effort.
The Ughelli North Local Government captioned the post, “Ughelli North Council Chairman, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, takes bold action against crime. Massive clearing operation underway along Uvwiamuge-Agbarho Road that has been a hub for kidnapping.”
In response, Edafe praised the effort on his X account, calling it “a very good proactive policing strategy” and thanked the council chairman for his decisive action.
This operation is part of a broader initiative by the Delta State Police Command to crack down on kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state, resulting in multiple arrests and prosecutions.
