2 die in Edo auto crash

Two persons yesterday died in an accident that happened in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government of Edo State.

It was gathered that four persons sustained injuries in the accident that happened at Obe community on the Benin-Warri road on Sunday.

The accident involved a Lexus jeep and truck.

The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Paul Okpe, when contacted, said two persons died in the accident.

He said six persons were involved in the accident and that two persons died while four others sustained various degrees of injuries.

According to him, the injured victims have been taken to the hospital for treatment while the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.

He however cautioned motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulation in order to stay alive.
