Tiwa Savage Declares Tems Deserves Spot Among Afrobeats ‘Big 3’

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has weighed in on the long-running debate over Afrobeats’ “Big 3,” a title often reserved for Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

Speaking in a recent interview, Tiwa said it was “unfair” to exclude Tems from the conversation, noting that her achievements and impact on the global stage place her among the top Afrobeats acts.

“It’s unfair to have that conversation about the Big 3 and not mention someone like Tems,” Tiwa stated.

The “Big 3” debate has remained a controversial topic in Nigerian music, with fans and industry figures frequently weighing in on who deserves recognition at the very top of the Afrobeats hierarchy.
