NDLEA officially arrest comedian De General
Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have stormed the home Instagram comedian, Sunday Joshua Martins, popularly known as Iam Degeneral.
The officials reportedly manhandled the popular comedy skit maker, in the early hours of Wednesday, before arresting him.
The comedian in a video could be seen being beaten by the officials as he recorded the arrest.
A female official of the agency could be heard, telling the comedian that he does not have the right to record them despite his calls for him to be allowed to express his fundamental human rights.
“This one that you’re just talking anyhow, it’s just because of our oga that is on ground. All these videos that you’re also doing, you don’t have the right to do them,” one of the officials said.
Martins angrily reacted to the official, asking her if she knew anything about fundamental human rights.
“You can’t tell me what I know! Everyone has to know what is going on!” The skit maker said.
One official suddenly snatched the phone from Martins and what followed were sounds of beating before he was handcuffed.
According to Mr. Macaroni, another skit maker, Martins was subsequently arrested.
Martins whereabouts is still unknown.
