“Fatherhood Has Changed Me” – Zinoleesky Reflects on Life as a Dad
Popular Nigerian singer and Marlian Music act, Zinoleesky, has opened up about how becoming a father has reshaped his outlook on life, bringing newfound maturity, focus, and purpose.
In an interview with media personality Adesope, the artist—real name Oniyide Azeez—revealed that fatherhood has made him more responsible and intentional with his choices. Zinoleesky became a dad for the first time in December 2023 with the birth of his daughter, Zendaya, and welcomed his son, Zafar, just four months later in April 2024.
“Fatherhood means a lot to me. I will say I’m a changed person since my boy got here,” he shared.
“There are things I would have done before… I’ve reduced now just because of the boy. I have to keep my head down, stay focused, and do things the right way. It’s been a real blessing to me.”
The “Mapariwo” hitmaker explained that having children has shifted his priorities and deepened his sense of responsibility:
“My kids are my motivation. They are the reason I’m working harder and making better choices. I want them to be proud of who I am.”
Zinoleesky also acknowledged that fatherhood has brought a sense of inner peace and inspired him to grow—not only as an artist but as a man.
Once known for his raw, street-style Afrobeats and occasional controversies, fans have begun to notice a more grounded side of Zinoleesky. His story reflects how life’s biggest transformations often begin with personal responsibility—and in his case, becoming a father has been his most defining chapter yet.
