Ayra Starr’s South African Concert Cancelled as Visa Application Gets Denied

The cancellation of Ayra Star’s In the City concert is due to the inability to secure Visas for Ayra Star and her team.
Nigerian Singer was set to perform in South Africa for the In the City music festival. Flying Fish, the official title sponsor of the music festival joined forces with Steyn Entertainment to unveil ‘Ayra Starr and Friends’.
Unfortunately, organizers have called off the anticipated show in South Africa. This decision came about as a result of the Nigerian sensation and her entourage being denied visas just days before the scheduled event. The In The City concert had scheduled venues in Johannesburg and Cape Town. It was scheduled for February 16 and 17, 2024, but had to be canceled due to this setback. Organizers expressed their disappointment, revealing that despite numerous efforts, Ayra and her team were unable to secure the necessary visas. Other notable stars like Daliwonga, Una Rams, and Grammy Award-nominated singer Musa Keys, were all slated to perform.
The organizers of the event via social media said, “We regret to announce the cancellation of both ‘In the City Ayra Starr’ Shows scheduled to take place in Joburg and Cape Town, South Africa on 16 and 17 February 2024. Regrettably, as has happened numerous times with other artists from West Africa – through no fault of their own, visas were denied. All ticket holders will be fully refunded within 7 working days. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming shows”.
The organizers have promised full refunds to all customers who paid.
