₦94M Fraud: Yahoo Boys Shoot Middle Man Over Dispute in Sharing Formula
A collaborator with Yahoo boys, known as an “Middle Man,” was reportedly shot by suspected internet fraudsters following a dispute over the sharing of ₦94 million obtained through an online scam.
The incident occurred on Sunday along Okhoro Road in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State. The victim, driving a Sport Utility Vehicle, was intercepted by the gunmen in another vehicle. They forced him out of his car and shot him at close range.
Sources revealed that the “Middle Man”—a term used for someone providing bank accounts to receive fraudulent funds—had refused to share the money as agreed. The individual allegedly kept the entire ₦94 million for himself, violating the arrangement with the group.
Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Moses Yamu, confirmed the shooting and stated that investigations are underway to apprehend the perpetrators. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.
