Alexer Peres Says She Is Stepping Back from Custody of Children Amid Dispute with Harrysong

Alexer Peres, the former wife of Nigerian singer Harrysong, has announced that she is temporarily relinquishing custody of their two children, citing alleged harassment and emotional exhaustion.

Alexer made the disclosure in an emotional video shared on her Instagram story on Thursday, saying the decision was difficult but necessary. She stated that she has been the primary caregiver to the children, aged four and three, since their separation, with the children only occasionally visiting their father.

“I didn’t plan to come on here, but I want this to serve as evidence that I’m making the hardest decision of my life. At this point, I have no option,” she said.

In the video, Alexer accused Harrysong of persistent interference in her personal life, alleging that he frequently shows up unannounced and disrupts her routine.

“This man has not let me rest. He frustrates my efforts and harasses me everywhere,” she said.

She added that while there are ongoing allegations and counter-allegations between both parties, she intends to address them in court. “I will respond to everything in court, but right now, I’m tired and emotionally drained,” she stated.

Announcing her decision, Alexer clarified that handing over custody was temporary and did not amount to abandoning her children. “I’m giving him custody for now. That doesn’t mean I won’t come back for my children,” she said.

She also expressed concern about the children’s welfare, particularly the possibility that they may be left in the care of domestic staff due to their father’s work and travel commitments.

Harrysong and Alexer married in 2021, but their marriage was marked by public disputes. In January 2024, Alexer announced that she was “officially done” with the marriage. As of the time of this report, Harrysong has not publicly responded to her latest claims.
