Eberechi Eze Transfer Decision Nears as Arsenal and Tottenham Compete
Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze is expected to decide between Arsenal and Tottenham within the next 48 hours, with his €78 million release clause set to expire on Friday.
According to The Guardian, Arsenal have been in advanced talks with Eze for several weeks and have agreed personal terms, but the deal has been delayed by the club’s need to offload players. The pause has allowed Tottenham to enter negotiations, though Eze is reported to favour a move to the Emirates.
FootballTransfers reported that Arsenal are close to agreeing a fee with Palace. Tottenham are also pursuing Manchester City winger Savinho as they seek attacking reinforcements following James Maddison’s ACL injury.
Eze, 27, scored the winning goal in Crystal Palace’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City and has recorded 39 goals in 166 appearances over five seasons with the club. The England international, with 11 caps and one goal, featured at Euro 2024 and is widely expected to leave Palace this summer.
