Victor Osimhen Set for Galatasaray Move, Ends Premier League Speculation
Istanbul — Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to complete a permanent transfer to Galatasaray, ending long-standing speculation linking him with Manchester United and Liverpool, according to a report by Soccernet.
Osimhen, 26, had been the subject of transfer interest from several top European clubs and Saudi Pro League teams. After a successful loan spell at Galatasaray, the forward has chosen to continue with the Turkish champions on a long-term basis.
Sports journalist Buchi Laba reported that Galatasaray and Napoli reached a full agreement, with the Turkish club activating Osimhen’s €75 million release clause. The deal includes an upfront payment of €40 million and an additional €35 million to be paid in 2026. Napoli has also secured a 10% sell-on clause in the agreement.
Osimhen is scheduled to undergo a medical in the coming days. Once completed, he will become Galatasaray’s highest-paid player, with an annual salary of €18 million.
During his loan tenure, Osimhen played a key role in Galatasaray’s attack, and the permanent move positions him as a central figure in the club’s domestic and European campaigns.
An official unveiling is expected following the medical as Galatasaray prepares for the upcoming season.
