Timaya Clarifies He Is Not Retiring from Music

Nigerian singer Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya, has addressed speculation regarding his retirement from music.
In a post shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Timaya stated that he is not retiring but simply took a break. “No be say the boy retire, the boy just been dey sleep…,” he wrote.
Timaya, who gained prominence with his 2005 hit Dem Mama, released his debut album True Story in 2006. Over the years, he has released eight studio albums, one EP, and numerous singles, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the Nigerian music industry.
