PSG are sweating over the fitness of Kylian Mbappe for Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter with Lyon at the Parc des Princes.

The attacker had to come off with an ankle issue in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League, where he started as part of a front three with Lionel Messi and Neymar for the first time in navy blue.

Pochettino was unable to provide an update on Mbappe’s condition after the game, but the Frenchman is not expected to recover in time for this battle, so it would not be unexpected to see Messi deployed through the middle.

The Argentine’s spot on the right should be taken by Di Maria, who returns from a European suspension. But Mauro Icardi is another option if Pochettino opts for a more physical presence up top.
