Manchester United’s Carabao Cup advancement leads to fixture reshuffling, affecting upcoming match against Bournemouth
Manchester United’s progression to the next round of the Carabao Cup has led to a change in their Premier League fixture against Bournemouth. Originally set for Saturday, December 21, the match has been moved to Sunday, December 22, due to a schedule clash with United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham on December 19. The two-day gap between the games would have been too short, prompting the rescheduling.
The change has upset some fans, particularly those who had already arranged travel plans to Old Trafford. The match will now kick off at 14:00 GMT and will not be broadcast live in the United Kingdom.
As for Ruben Amorim, who will have managed eight games by the time the Bournemouth match takes place, this is another challenge as he continues his tenure as Manchester United’s manager.
