Tinubu Expresses Condolences to NNPC Following Helicopter Crash Fatalities
President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Board following the tragic death of its staff in a helicopter crash near Bonny Finima, Port Harcourt.In a condolence message, the president expressed sympathy for the families and relatives of the NNPCL employees and crew members who lost their lives in the incident on Thursday, October 24.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, shared that Tinubu conveyed his “deepest sympathies” to the affected families and expressed his solidarity with them during this difficult time.Tinubu stated, President Tinubu Commiserates with the NNPC Board and Families of Victims Onboard the Helicopter in Port-Harcourt.
Furthermore, the president has called for intensified search and rescue operations to locate any additional passengers or evidence related to the tragic incident.He also requested a comprehensive report on the crash and urged military personnel involved in operations in the area to assist in the rescue efforts.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and other relevant agencies in the recovery and investigation processes.
