Former Minister Abubakar Malami Receives New Appointment
The Pan African Business Forum (AABF) has appointed former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), as the chairman of the Judicial Review and Transformation of African Committees for an initial term of two years, with the possibility of renewal.Malami served as Attorney General for eight years under former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.continue Reading >>>
The announcement of Malami’s appointment was made through a press release signed by Dr. Ladislas Prosper Agbesi, Chairman of the Pan African Business Forum. The statement was shared with journalists by Ibrahim Abubakar Jombali, the National Publicity Secretary of Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiatives, in Birnin Kebbi.
The statement explained that Malami’s appointment followed the Annual General Board meeting of the Executive Committee, which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from August 27 to 29, 2024.In addition to Malami’s role, other appointments were made during the meeting, including Pierre Marcel Bonnard as the Executive for New Technology and His Excellency Gabriel Mbaga Lima as the Chairman of the Energy and Oil & Gas Infrastructure Committee of the PABF.
The press release emphasized that Malami’s appointment as Chairman recognizes his vast experience in legal advocacy, governance, and his dedication to justice and development across Africa.
As Chairman, Malami will be tasked with overseeing critical judicial reviews, ensuring adherence to legal standards, and providing advice on key judicial matters in the organization’s member countries.
