Ahmed Musa Stars in Kano Pillars’ 4-3 Victory Over Rangers in Enugu

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was the star of the show on Wednesday as Kano Pillars triumphed over Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, known as the Flying Antelopes, on their home turf.In a thrilling Week 7 match of the NPFL, Kano Pillars won by a score of 4-3. They started strong, netting their first goal in the 24th minute.Pillars quickly added two more goals at the 35th and 47th minutes, establishing a commanding 3-0 lead over Rangers.

Just before halftime, Pillars secured their victory by scoring a fourth goal in the 54th minute.Despite falling behind, Rangers, coached by Fidelis Ikechukwu, came out fighting in the second half and managed to score three goals.

However, their attempts to level the score were unsuccessful, as the match ended 4-3 amidst heavy rain at the Enugu stadium.Of the four goals scored by Kano Pillars, two came from penalty kicks as they applied pressure on the Rangers’ defense.

However, Kano Pillars’ head coach, Usman Abdala, received a red card for contesting the referee’s decisions during the second half.With this win, both teams are now tied with 10 points, but Kano Pillars sits in 5th place while Rangers are further down the league table.
