Senate Ratifies 21 New Appointments (View Names and States)
During the report presentation, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs, noted that the Senate reviewed President Tinubu’s request for the confirmation of nominees to the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) during its session on September 24.
The nominations were subsequently referred to the relevant committees for evaluation.The committees found that the nominees met all the qualifications necessary for public service positions, deeming them suitable to serve as federal commissioners in the RMAFC.
As a result, all nominees were confirmed after the Senate moved into a Committee of the Whole to discuss the report.In his address, Senate President Godswill Akpabio encouraged the new commissioners to excel in their roles and to represent their states and the nation effectively.
