The Vice President’s presence at the match was hailed as an inspiration for the team, and he has also pledged that the Super Eagles will be duly rewarded for their outstanding performance in the tournament.

The vice president visited the stars in their changing room after the match. He was in company of Governors Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), Minister for Youth, Dr. Jamila Ibrahim as well as Oil mogul Wale Tinubu, FIFA Council Member Amaju Pinnick and NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
