AFCON 2025 Scheduled to Clash with FIFA Club World Cup

The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Announces 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be Held in June Instead of January
The body made the announcement after a meeting between the President of the federation, Fouzi Lekjaa and the national team’s head coach Walid Regragui to discuss the performance of Morocco at the 2023 AFCON held in Côte d’Ivoire. However, the competition will clash with with the 2025 FIFA World Club Cup which is also be played in the summer.
Morocco came into the tournament as one of the favourites to win the competition but they were knocked out in the round of 16 by South Africa. However the body has decided to continue with the team’s
FRMF called for support from fans, especially to those who were in attendance in Côte d’Ivoire, as the team looks to redeem their image as they prepare for other competitions.
