Bola Tinubu was declared the winner after overcoming a stiff competition from the likes of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhahji Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi.

Even though Tinubu won in the same number of States as others, 12 each, he however, garnered more votes, 8,794,726 ahead of Atiku who polled 6,984,520 and Obi who scored 6,101,533 votes.
