Shettima Apologizes to Nigerians for Insensitive Comments
The Vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, according to BBC News pidgin, has thrown an apology to Nigerians over his statement he made before the election of the senate presidency on Tuesday.
The Vice president and former governor who had showed his support for the emergence of Godswill Obot Akpabio as the Senate president noted that is a human being, and is bound to make mistakes.
Kashim Shettima who made such statement called on Nigerians who felt insulted over his remarks to please forgive him, adding that he never said it as an insult to his religion.
He said… “I am a human being, and I can make mistakes. I beg forgiveness from God and the people”.
Recall that the vice president before the election of the senate presidency, had pointed out that the worst Christian from the south is more better than the best in the north.
