2Baba, Idibia and 3 others visit Sound Sultan’s grave
Veteran Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia aka TuBaba and three others visited the grave of Sound Sultan who died of cancer last year.
He disclosed this on Monday with a video and caption posted on his verified Instagram page.
Accompanied by his tour Manager, Frankie, and his friends Emmanuel and Blackah, TuBaba paid tribute to Sultan, adding that he will forever be missed.
“Went to pay my respect to my brother SOUND SULTAN. With my brothers @emmaugolee @amfrankiej @blackahrank. July 11 WORLD SULTAN DAY, Blessed #GRATEFUL #WARRIOR. We Miss u, my dear friend. #SOUNDSULTAN”, he wrote.
The deceased, Olanrewaju AbdulGaniu Fasasi aka Sound Sultan died aged 44 on July 11, 2021, after battling throat cancer.
Before his death, Sultan was cordial with a lot of Nigerian musicians, entertainers and comedians. He is best described as an “easy-going and friendly” person.
Sultan released four albums under his former record label, Kennis Music. In 2007, he partnered with his brother, Baba Dee to start a record label “Naija Ninjas”.
He is survived by his wife, Farida and their three children.
