Rebecca Chinonso Arinola, professionally known as Raybekah, is a Nigerian Afropop and Afro-R&B singer-songwriter born on 15 September 1996 in Lagos, Nigeria. She grew up in Festac, attended Knowledge Fountain Primary School and Command Day School in Lagos, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Osun State University. Raybekah began writing lyrics in secondary school and officially started her music career at around age 15 in 2011. She released her first official single, “Kigbe”, in 2016, and later gained widespread recognition with her viral TikTok freestyle turned single, “Ex Boyfriend”, which amassed millions of streams and widespread acclaim. In 2020, she signed with ORA Records and has since released several other singles like “Ganja”, “Uncensored”, “Cinderella”, and “Cut Soap”. Her music blends Afrobeats, Afropop, R&B, and dancehall influences, and she remains a rising talent on Nigeria’s music scene.
