See What It’s Like&Quot; – Arsenal Star Ethan Nwaneri Names Cristiano Ronaldo As His Idol

Arsenal’s young sensation Ethan Nwaneri has revealed his deep admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, calling the five-time Ballon d’Or winner his ultimate inspiration. In a recent video shared by Dazed on social media, Nwaneri was asked which celebrity he would most like to switch lives with. Without hesitation, he responded via GOAL:
“A player named Ronaldo. What an inspiration! I would go about my day acting exactly like him. I could just walk out into the streets and look.”

Nwaneri, just 18, has enjoyed a breakout season with Arsenal, stepping up in the absence of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. He has made 36 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing two assists, impressing fans and pundits alike. His dream of emulating Ronaldo stems from more than just admiration—it reflects a desire to adopt the work ethic and mindset of one of football’s greatest players.

Cristiano Ronaldo, now 40 and playing for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, continues to defy expectations. This season alone, he has scored 33 goals and contributed four assists in 39 matches, further cementing his legendary status after iconic stints with Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United.

Nwaneri isn’t the only Arsenal player who looks up to Ronaldo. Fellow Gunners stars Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have also openly expressed their respect for the Portuguese forward.
Saka shared with GOAL:
“He served as my role model in my youth. His ability to be so disciplined and focused is something I greatly admire, especially now that I’m playing professionally.”
Martinelli echoed this sentiment in a 2023 interview with the club’s website, telling the Daily Mail:
“At all times, Cristiano Ronaldo was the one I admired. As a kid, I used to stare at him all the time.”

As Arsenal prepares for their Premier League clash against Newcastle United on May 18, it’s clear that Ronaldo’s legacy continues to influence and inspire the next generation of football stars. For Ethan Nwaneri, Ronaldo represents more than fame—he embodies a standard of greatness and dedication that young talents strive to reach.
