Nigerian star player Jennifer Echegini completes a transfer to PSG

French giants, PSG in an official statement have confirmed the transfer of one of Nigeria’s star players ahead of the 2024/2025 club football season.
Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) women’s team have officially completed the transfer for Super Falcons midfielder Jennifer Echegini. Echegini in the June 2024 transfer window, who previously played for Juventus, has committed to a three-year contract with the French club.
The announcement follows Echegini’s recent departure from Juventus, where she scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 16 appearances last season.
Speaking on her move Jennifer Echegini stated, “This is a significant moment in my career. Joining Paris Saint-Germain, a club renowned for its ambition and excellence, fills me with pride. I am eager to begin and contribute my best efforts to win as many trophies as possible with my teammates for our supporters. It’s something I’ve always wanted in my career. I want to be part of a club with a great history. I want to win trophies and matches. I want a big challenge, and to be surrounded by people who will push me, both on and off the pitch, as a footballer and as a person. I’m very excited.”
Currently, Echegini is on international duty with the Nigerian national team, which has set up camp in Sevilla, Spain, in preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
