MCI 1-1 EVE: Premier League Standings as Manchester City’s Winless Streak Continues Against Everton

Manchester City took the lead in the 14th minute when Doku made a powerful run down the left and delivered a precise cross to Silva in the middle. Despite pressure from Branthwaite, Silva managed to slide the ball across Pickford into the bottom-right corner after a slight deflection.
Everton equalized in the 36th minute with a well-crafted goal. A quick move down the right wing saw Doucoure deliver an early cross that evaded Lewis at the back post. Ndiaye then expertly finished with the outside of his right boot, sending the ball into the top-right corner past Ederson.
The second half was largely uneventful, with audible groans from the crowd at the Etihad. Haaland had a chance to give City the lead with a 53rd-minute penalty, but his effort was well saved by Pickford. City had a few half-chances, with Mangala and Lewis both firing wide, but the game ended in a stalemate.
With the draw, Manchester City, having underperformed with a 2.02 xG, now sit in 6th place. Everton, surpassing their 0.62 xG, remain in 15th.
Next, Manchester City will face Leicester City, while Everton will look to secure a win against Nottingham Forest at home.
